For more than a decade, my scientific research has been dedicated to the field of translational medicine, an interdisciplinary approach that applies biomedical research towards enhancing patient and societal health. My focus is specifically on affective disorders and suicide prevention.
My mission is to improve diagnostics and treatment in mental health by providing objective measures of brain activity.
I first got involved in neurofeedback research in 2018, while still a postdoctoral fellow at Trinity College Dublin, Department of psychiatry.I quickly realized that neurofeedback allowed me to turn over 20 years of research in neuroscience into service to make a difference in the life of persons with highly debilitating neurological/psychiatric disorders.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, and cooking (not always in this order though!)
